Plenty of Kids Stuff, too!

WASHINGTON (July 14, 2015) – Put on your dancing shoes because there will be plenty of reason to tap your shoes when the 11th Annual Festival in the Borough takes place on Saturday Sept. 26.

The Downtown of Washington will once again turn into the largest Street & Music Festival in Northwest New Jersey from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., as 20 musical acts perform on three separate stages throughout the day and into the evening.

Highlighting the musical line-up will be awesome festival favorites, Jimmy & The Parrots, along with the Quimby Mountain Band, Southbound and national recording artist, Barrence Whitfield and his band. 

The Steve Kirchuk Trio, the JerZgirls, Don Elliker, Gina Royale, Barkers Mill Road Band, and other musical acts will be performing on various stages around town.

The Festival in the Borough is FREE to attend. There is also plenty of FREE parking. In addition to the free entertainment the streets will be lined with dozens of vendors selling an array of items, as well as a host of participating downtown businesses. Food of all varieties will also be on hand. And there is a beer garden hosted by the Washington Fire Department.

Three stages are on tap: PNC Stage in the Town Clock lot; the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center/Wells Fargo Acoustic Stage at the corner of School Street and Rt. 57 at Gaia’s Gift Shop, and the Scotty’s Tavern Stage" on Belvidere Avenue !

The Festival in the Borough has been named Top Festival in the Skylands Region and is truly a family-friendly event with lots of fun stuff for the kids to do. There will inflatable rides and free mini-golf courtesy of Stew’s Auto Body, as well as other cool stuff for the young ones.

Major sponsorship for the festival is provided by PNC Bank, BASF, Wells Fargo Bank, Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, WRNJ Radio, Good Impressions Printing & Mailing, Mr. Music, Scotty’s Tavern, and WNTI Radio, with grant funding from the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission.
